WORKPLACE PREVENTION SERVICES PROGRAM
Every employer wants to maximize productivity, and take care of their most expensive and critical resource—the people who work for them. In an effort to reduce the effects of alcohol and other drugs on the workplace, the Peer Assistance Services’ Workplace Prevention Services (WPS) program provides small, Colorado-based workplaces with comprehensive, no-cost consulting for drug-free workplace program development and EAP services.
WHAT WPS OFFERS
• Assessment and referral, short-term problem resolution, facilitation of back-to-work agreements, and identification and resolution of fitness-for-work concerns
• Consultation on identification and resolution of workplace performance issues
• Facilitation of return-to-work agreements
• Employee education and supervisor training
• Environmental scans to identify areas in the workplace conducive to substance use
• Employee education and supervisor training
• Training and technical assistance to develop written policies, procedures, and other elements of a comprehensive drug-free workplace program
• Protective factor trainings such as stress management and relaxation techniques, working with multiple generations and effective communication skills
