Who can refer?
PAS accepts self-referrals and calls from persons who may be concerned about themselves or others. The referral may come from a friend, family member, colleague, supervisor, self, or the State Board of Nursing.  Calls are confidential and you do not need to give your name or the name of the individual you are concerned about.

When to refer?
The sooner the better. Call PAS if you have any questions about any physical, emotional, psychological or substance abuse problem, especially if this issue may affect an individual’s practice, work or wellbeing.

How to make a referral for a RN or LPN
• Call Denver: 303.369.0039 or Toll-free: 866.369.0039 or email Info@PeerAssist.org

• Ask to speak with the Nursing Peer Health Assistance Program Director. You will be asked for information about your relationship to the individual and the nature of your concern. Our staff will talk with you confidentially and guide you through making the referral.

• Give the individual our contact information and emphasize that the services are confidential, and in most cases, no cost.
