INTEGRATION OF COLORADO'S DRUG SCREENING PROGRAM FEATURED IN
OBAMA ADMINISTRATION'S NEW ANTI-DRUG PLAN
 

Gil Kerlikowske, Director of National Drug Control Policy, released the 2012 National Drug Control Strategy, the Obama Administration’s primary blueprint for drug policy in the United States. The Administration’s new Strategy also features Colorado’s Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) program, which helps medical professionals identify early signs of substance use in their patients and intervene early.
