Vincent Felitti, M.D. 

A noted researcher on how adverse childhood experiences affect adults, Dr. Felitti is co-principal investigator of the internationally recognized Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Study.  The ACE Study, a long-term, indepth, retrospective and prospective analysis of over 17,000 adults showed:
~A powerful relationship between emotional experience in childhood and physical and behavioral health in adulthood.
~A strong link to major causes of adult mortality in the U.S. including substance use, abuse, dependence and related diseases.
